Charlotte grew up in the Grampian mountains of Scotland and graduated from Glasgow Vet school in 2007. She has spent her entire career in NZ having emigrated shortly after graduation to Christchurch where she worked in ambulatory equine practice spending much of her time on the racetrack.
Charlotte then moved to the Top of the South where she has worked ever since both with horses and small animals. With the retirement of Marlborough’s equine vet, Charlotte saw the opportunity to get back to doing what she has a passion for, working with horses, and HorseVets Marlborough was born.
Charlotte enjoys all aspects of horse vetting but has a particular interest in equine dentistry having travelled to Australia to learn from experts in this field.
Her philosophy is that a holistic, preventative medicine approach is pivotal for maintenance of equine health and performance!
Charlotte lives in the Onamalutu Valley with her husband and two children. When she has free-time she likes to ride her horse competing at local shows and hunting in the winter time.

Charlie our practice manager is an internationally qualified equine massage and myopractic therapist, as well as competitive show jumper, hunter and show ring rider.
Charlie has a love and passion for horses and has ridden from a young age. She has also bred and produced young horses whiling studying for more than two years in equine therapeutics. Her work as an equine massage therapist supports Horsevets holisitic approach to equine health.
As Practice Manager, Charlie runs the administrative/managerial side of the practice so that our vet, Charlotte, can concentrate on vetting and we can provide the very best service possible.
